1971 - Maximilian Rockatansky is born in Australia.
1980 - Pollution rises at high rates; severe climate change will follow in the decade to come.
1983 - Society degradation starts around this point.
1986 - M.F.P. (Main Force Patrol) Police is instituted.
1989 - The Prohibited Areas are born from soil pollution and social abandonment.
1991 - Global energy crisis. Fuel price skyrockets. Nations are on the verge of a new World War.
M.F.P. radio transmissions:
"All supplies must be requisitioned from the people's bond. Please do not exploit your privileges. Doing so is an offense."
1993 - Maximilian Rockatansky, often nicknamed "Max" or "Maxie", operates in Sun City as a member of the M.F.P. Police - budge number: 4073. He drives Interceptor cars in order to stop the Nomad Bikers and the Glory Riders roaming the extra-urban roads. His partner is Agent Swaisey a.k.a. "The Dark One".
Steven "Sprog" Rockatansky is born form Max and his wife Jessie.
1994 - The events of MAD MAX occur. Max Rockatansky is 23. He is officially declared an outlaw rogue officer and authorities are behind him.
M.F.P. radio transmissions:
"Code Unspecified. We have a query locate on a black Pursuit Special. Unauthorized use by a Main Force Officer. This is designated as a potential Code Red Alert."
"THE VERMIN INHERITED THE EARTH"
1995 - The Oil War Apocalypse/World War III breaks out. America and Russia fight over energy sources. Progressive collapse of the Australian society. Max has already ventured into the Outback and do not witness the downfall spiral of the coast cities.
In the while, Pappagallo sets the basis for the build-up and fortification of the Refinery, where the group of the Defenders will be eventually formed.
1996 - Winter: during a short-lived truce in the war, Captain Walker steals a 747 Boeing aircraft and attempts to bring a desperate group of people outside the struggling Australia. They crash near the Crack in the Earth/Planet Erf location, still not yet desertificated.
Slake is born after few time.
Savannah Nix:
"This ain't one body's story. It's the story of us all. We got it mouth-to-mouth. You got to listen it and 'member. 'Cause what you hears today you got to tell the birthed tomorrow. I'm looking behind us now. . . across the count of time. . . down the long haul, into history back. I sees the end what were the start. It's Pox-Eclipse, full of pain! And out of it were birthed crackling dust and fearsome time. It were full-on winter. . . and Mr. Dead chasing them all. But one he couldn't catch. That were Captain Walker. He gathers up a gang, takes to the air and flies to the sky! So they left their homes, said bidey-bye to the high-scrapers. . . and what were left of the knowing, they left behind. Some say the wind just stoppered. Others reckon it were a gang called Turbulence. And after the wreck. . . some had been jumped by Mr. Dead. . . but some had got the luck, and it leads them here. One look and they's got the hots for it. They word it "Planet Erf." And they says, "We don't need the knowing. We can live here.""
1997 - Nuclear exchange. Only few Australian cities are hit anyway (maybe just two or three). Savannah Nix is born from one of the many adult survivors inhabiting Planet Erf.
By this point, the Australian Outback is already known as "The Wasteland" and looks infested by gangs of motorized and vicious Marauders ravaging the country. They are the spontaneous evolution of the early criminals, the Glory Riders and the Nomad Bikers of the MM1 era.
1998 - Nuclear winter is unleashed all around the globe. Climate changes. Desertification takes over Australia at a speeded-up rate.
1999 - Aunty Entity, former leader of a gang of Marauders, starts Bartertown as simple, rudimentary outpost in the middle of the Desert of Despair.
The Humungus unifies three big gangs of Marauders (The Mohawkers, the Smegma Crazies and the Gayboy Berserkers) under the ban "Dogs of War".
Sept. 10th: Captain Walker and most of the adults leave Planet Erf heading toward an unprecised form of civilization. They don't know what eventually occurred to the cities and just suppose society may still "exist" in some shape (see MMBT, specifically the Tell scene: the exact date is reported on the wall).
Savannah Nix:
"Time counts and keeps counting. They gets missing what they had. They get so lonely for the high-scrapers and the video. And they does the pictures so they'd 'member all the knowing that they lost. Then Captain Walker picked them of an age and good for a long haul. They counted twenty, and that were them. The Great Leaving. "Rescue party departed at first light. . . led by Flight Captain G.L. Walker". They said bidey-bye to them what they'd birthed. And from the Nothing they looked back... and Captain Walker hollered, "Wait, one of us will come.""
2000 - Water is scarceful among survivors (see MMBT, what Waterseller ironically screams about a never-really-happened "Sydney Olimpics 2000" event). Max evolved into "The Road Warrior": skilled driver, fighter, scavenger and mercenary, all rolled into one.
2001 - The events of MAD MAX 2/The Road Warrior occur. Max is 30. The Feral Kid is 7/8 years old.
Without the Humungus and the Dogs of War, Aunty is finally free to expand Bartertown the way she originally envisioned.
The Feral Kid/Feral Man:
"My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos. Ruined dreams. This wasted land. But most of all, I remember The Road Warrior. The man we called "Max". To understand who he was, you have to go back to another time. When the world was powered by the black fuel. And the desert sprouted great cities of pipe and steel. Gone now, swept away. For reasons long forgotten, two mighty warrior tribes went to war and touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. Without fuel, they were nothing. They built a house of straw. The thundering machines sputtered and stopped. Their leaders talked and talked and talked. But nothing could stem the avalanche. Their world crumbled. The cities exploded. A whirlwind of looting, a firestorm of fear. Men began to feed on men. On the roads it was a white line nightmare. Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the highways, ready to wage war for a tank of juice. And in this maelstrom of decay, ordinary men were battered and smashed. Men like Max. The warrior Max. In the roar of an engine, he lost everything. And became a shell of a man, a burnt out, desolate man, a man haunted by the demons of his past, a man who wandered out into the Wasteland. And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again..."
2003 - The very few remaining adults in Planet Erf have already established the "cargo cult" religion among the boys and the kids (Slake, Savannah and some others). Over time, there will be more and more Leavings where the adults and later the boys themselves venture into the Nothing in search of Captain Walker and the "Tomorrow-morrow Land". The kids left behind would eventually adopt the name "The Waiting Ones".
2006 - Jedediah Junior is born. Lusty Girl dies.
2009 - Jedediah leaves the Great Northern Tribe with his son.
The Feral Kid/Feral Man:
"And so began the journey north to safety, to our place in the sun. Among us we found a new leader: The man who came from the sky, the Gyro Captain. And just as Pappagallo had planned we traveled far beyond the reach of men on machines. The juice, the precious juice, was hidden in the vehicles. As for me, I grew to manhood and in the fullness of time, I became the leader, the chief of the Great Northern Tribe. And the Road Warrior? That was the last we ever saw of him. He lives now only in my memories."
2015 - The events of MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME occur. Mad Max is 44. Savannah Nix finally reaches the "Tomorrow-morrow Land", Sidney (which wasn't been nuked, just damaged by disorders, big scale bombings, nuclear winter-induced storms).
M.F.P. radio transmissions:
"Code Unspecified. We have a query locate on a black Pursuit Special. Unauthorized use by a Main Force Officer. This is designated as a potential Code Red Alert."

2020 - The very ending of MMBT, featuring "Home", the new core of the human civilization built in the middle of the ruins of Sidney. Mad Max is still out of there.
Savannah Nix:
"Time counts and keeps countin', and we knows now finding the trick of what's been and lost ain't no easy ride. But that's our trek, we gotta' travel it. And there ain't nobody knows where it's gonna' lead. Still in all, every night we does the tell, so that we 'member who we was and where we came from... but most of all we 'members the man that finded us, him that came the salvage. And we lights the city, not just for him, but for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there come a night, when they sees the distant light, and they'll be comin' home."
THE END (...?)
